Dr. Paul o Alvim died

Dear all,

This is just to let you know, that today Dr. Paulo Alvim died.

He had a strong influence in cocoa science and important contribution in cocoa physiology. He also created the Cacao Research Center (CEPEC), in Brazil, and worked in several other institutions in Latin America, either with cacao of coffee.

He died today (18/02) at about 10 am.

We all at Ceplac are very sad with this news.
